Ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας κ. Νίκος Αναστασιάδης απέστειλε συλλυπητήρια επιστολή στον Πρωθυπουργό της Σουηδίας κ. Stefan Löfven.
Στην επιστολή του ο Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας ανέφερε τα ακόλουθα:
«Εκ μέρους του λαού και της Κυβέρνησης της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας εκφράζω την ειλικρινή μου συμπάθεια στην Κυβέρνηση και τον λαό της Σουηδίας για την τρομοκρατική επίθεση στη Στοκχόλμη στις 7 Απριλίου, που στοίχισε τη ζωή σε αθώους ανθρώπους. Οι σκέψεις μας είναι μαζί με τις οικογένειες των θυμάτων.
Καταδικάζω μετά βδελυγμίας τέτοιες ειδεχθείς πράξεις και επαναβεβαιώνω την αλληλεγγύη μας με τη Σουηδία στη μάχη κατά της διεθνούς τρομοκρατίας. Μόνο με συντονισμό και εντατικοποίηση των προσπαθειών μας θα μπορέσουμε να καταπολεμήσουμε τη μάστιγα της τρομοκρατίας».
The President of the Republic sent a letter of condolence to the Prime Minister of Sweden
The President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades sent a letter of condolence to the Prime Minister of Sweden Mr. Stefan Löfven for the terrorist attack in Stockholm.
In his letter the President of the Republic stated the following:
“On behalf of the people and the government of the Republic of Cyprus, I wish to express my sincere sympathy to the government and the people of Sweden for the terrorist attack in Stockholm on April 7, claiming the lives of innocent people. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims.
I take this opportunity to strongly condemn such heinous acts and to reaffirm our solidarity with Sweden in the battle against international terrorism. It is only by combining and intensifying our efforts that we will be able to combat the scourge of terrorism.”
